What We Know About The 2024 High Limit Racing Schedule

High Limit Racing, the Sprint Car series owned by Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson, made a big splash recently when it was announced that the series would be going national in 2024

Since the announcement, there has been plenty of hype surrounding what the schedule may look like for the 2024 schedule. While a full schedule has yet to be released by High Limit Racing officials, we're beginning to get a glimpse at what the schedule may look like.

Here's what we know so far about the tracks and dates on the 2024 High Limit Racing schedule. 

High Limit Racing Will Open The Season In Florida

Like many of dirt track racing's most popular touring series, High Limit Racing will kick off the 2024 season in the Sunshine State. While official dates have not been announced, the initial press release about the High Limit Racing expansion indicated that the season will begin in February at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida. 

High Limit Racing Will End The Season At Texas Motor Speedway

It was announced in the initial press release from High Limit Racing that the national tour will celebrate its inaugural season championship at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway in October.

Two Events Will Be Held In Conjunction With NASCAR

High Limit Racing will also have two events in conjunction with NASCAR, one at Texas Motor Speedway in April, and another at Lakeside Speedway, roughly eight miles from Kansas Speedway, in May.

High Limit Racing Will Make Its West Coast Debut

The series will make its West Coast debut in 2024, with events including the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California and the Skagit Nationals at Skagit Speedway in Burlington, Washington. Dates have not been announced for these events. 

Two Eldora Speedway Events On The High Limit Racing Schedule

The prestigious Eldora Speedway will host High Limit Racing twice with a two-day midweek event in July and a return appearance in September for the 4-Crown Nationals.

Port Royal Speedway Will Host Two High Limit Racing Events

Officials at Port Royal Speedway announced on November 7 that "The Speed Palace" will host two High Limit Racing events in 2024. Both events -- the Bob Weikert Memorial and Tuscarora 50 -- were staples on the All Star Circuit of Champions schedule. 

The Bob Weikert Memorial is scheduled for May 25-26, while the Tuscarora 50 will be held September 5-7. Both events are expected to feature elevated purses. 

High Limit Racing Will Visit Two New York Race Tracks

Sprint Car fans in the state of New York will have at least two chances to attend at High Limit Racing event in 2024. Fonda Speedway and Utica-Rome Speedway both released teasers on social media indicating that the tracks will be hosting High Limit Racing events next season. 

Dates were not released by track officials on the social media posts. 

Both Fonda Speedway and Utica-Rome Speedway are promoted by Brett Deyo, the promoter of the Short Track Super Series. 

Inaugural High Limit Racing Diamond Classic To Be Held At Lucas Oil Speedway

Lucas Oil Speedway officials announced earlier this week that the Wheatland, Missouri dirt track will host the inaugural High Limit Racing Diamond Classic on June 28-29. 

"We are excited to be a part of High Limit Racing in 2024 as part of our tentative schedule, which includes our usual mainstay events such as the Show-Me 100, Hockett-McMillin Memorial and Kentucky Drag Boat Association events on Lake Lucas," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. "High Limit Racing is an opportunity to bring even more world-class racing to our fans and we thank Brad Sweet, Kyle Larson and their series for working with us to make it happen."

Known for hosting major Dirt Late Model races like the Show-Me 100, Lucas Oil Speedway has also hosted the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial in recent years. The track also hosted a World of Outlaws Sprint Car event in 2008. 

High Limit Racing Will Sanction Mace Thomas Classic At Butler Motor Speedway

High Limit Racing will visit Michigan's Butler Motor Speedway for the Mace Thomas Classic on June 1, as reported by TJSlideways.com. The race will feature a $12,000 winner's prize and a trophy that stands taller than six feet tall. The Mace Thomas Classic was previously sanctioned by the All Star Circuit of Champions. 

Other Events On The Schedule

  • Eagle Raceway in Nebraska will return with the biggest Midweek Money Series purse at the Eagle Nationals.
  • The Dean Knittel Memorial at Portsmouth Speedway in Ohio will be on the schedule.
  • The annual Rayce Rudeen Foundation race will also be on the schedule in 2024, but the track hosting the race has not yet been announced.
