CMS Racing, Cory Eliason Part Ways Ahead of 2024 Sprint Car Season
CMS Racing is parting ways with driver Cory Eliason after finishing fourth in the High Limit Sprint Car Series championship standings.
Sprint Car silly season has begun...again. Following a 2023 season that featured a game of musical chairs throughout the Sprint Car world, the music is picking back up as focus shifts towards the 2024 campaign.
Recently, one of the nation's top Sprint Car teams announced their plans to move in a different direction moving forward.
CMS Racing announced Sunday that the team has parted ways with driver Cory Eliason, with plans to announce the team's future plans at a later date.
Eliason, a California native, finished fourth in the High Limit Sprint Car Series championship standings driving for the team this past season. He also claimed a pair of All Star Circuit of Champions wins driving the No. 11 for CMS Racing.
Eliason captured his first All Stars win of the season only a few weeks after taking over driving duties for Buddy Kofoid in May and followed that up with a win at Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway in June.
"Cory is a great driver, and an even better person," Leighton Crouch, owner of CMSRacing, said. "I thoroughly enjoyed our time together, and appreciate his commitment to CMS throughout the 2023 season. Cory brings immense value to any future team looking for a full time driver! Future plans will be announced at a later date."
I’d like to thank Leighton and the entire Crouch family for the opportunity to drive their @cmsracing11 car for a big chunk of 2023!

I also want to thank Brad, Stephen, and Adam for all of their hard work at the shop and at the track.
I wish the team the very best.
The move is just the start of what is expected to be a busy offseason in Sprint Car news following the announcement that Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet purchased the All Star Circuit of Champions from Tony Stewart.
Leighton's son Brenham Crouch won the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Car championship this season, and he has not yet announced his plans for 2024.
