The racing community is mourning the loss of 24-year old racer Ashlea Albertson, a TQ midget driver for Tony Stewart Racing in the Tezos All Stars TQ Series. Albertson of Greenfield, Indiana was involved in a highway crash on Friday, August 18. The crash took place on Interstate 65 in Jackson County, according to the police report released by the Indiana State Police, and is believed to be a "road-rage incident."

“She just loved racing, she loved the community and you all have done so much for her,” her dad Todd Albertson said in a post on Facebook. “She was a good kid and a better person.”

Tony Stewart described his teammate as having an infectious personality in a social media post Friday.

The TQ Series held an event the next day at the Columbus Fairgrounds where her car was signed by fellow racers and was put on display as the family received an outpouring of support from the community.
