Two of the best Modified drivers over the past decade squared off in a battle on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour's biggest stage Saturday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. When the checkered flag waved at The Magic Mile, three-time champion Justin Bonsignore beat six-time champion Doug Coby by 0.045 seconds to win the Mohegan Sun 100. 

Bonsignore had built up a large advantage at the front of the field prior to a red flag for rain on Lap 69. When the race resumed, Bonsignore elected to pit for both fuels and tires, putting him near the back half of the top 10. He was able to get back to the front in the closing laps to resume his battle with rivals Coby and Ron Silk. 

The three drivers traded blows in typical New Hampshire fashion for the final five laps before Bonsignore put himself out in front coming to the white flag. From there, the driver of car No. 51 did anything and everything he needed to do to secure the win on the final lap. 

The victory for Bonsignore was his third win of the season and his third career victory at New Hampshire. His last win at the Loudon, New Hampshire oval came nearly five years ago in July 2018.
