Justin Bonsignore is a three-time champion of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and winner of 36 races total. Bonsignore's 36th victory came on Sunday afternoon in the Buzz Chew 200 at his home track of Riverhead Raceway where he now has a massive 10 total wins at the quarter-mile bullring. Bonsignore took the lead from Ron Silk late and then held off Silk and the rest of the field on an overtime finish to capture the win.

"Ron (Silk) and I have been beating the hell out of each other and putting on shows at I think three of the four races. That caution with 15 or 20 to go or whatever it was was really good for us. I got a really good restart and he spun the tires bad and I was able to get down in front of him. He was able to roll down on the apron in one and two so good, and I couldn't hold the bottom. He got under me and we were beating and banging. I thought we were going to wreck when that yellow came out. Thank God we didn't. I just can't take the top on a green-white-checkered. I was able to roll the bottom like he did. He was a little bit better than us in the long run, but you've got to keep yourself in these things late in the race. Cautions fell our way. It's just unbelievable to get number 10 here."

With his victory on Sunday afternoon, Justin Bonsignore will unofficially take over the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour points lead. Bonsignore entered Sunday's race third in points, just two markers behind Silk for the points lead.
