The second version of the Kyle Larson Late Model Challenge just keeps getting bigger. Now another NASCAR Cup Series driver has added his name to the mix. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe announced Monday afternoon that he will be competing in Thursday’s race on the high banks of Volunteer Speedway.

Briscoe, through a partnership with sponsor Mahindra Tractors, on Monday announced a nine-race dirt schedule, which will see him get back to his racing roots. The Indiana native grew up racing on dirt, but in Sprint Car racing. But lately he’s been dabbling in other forms of dirt racing, like dirt Late Model racing, when his NASCAR schedule allows.

Briscoe becomes the third NASCAR Cup Series driver expected to compete in Thursday’s race, joining Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch.

Thursday’s Kyle Larson Late Model Challenge will take place at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee, for the second year in a row. The winner will take home a $20,000 check, and the race will pay $1,000 to start

The Kyle Larson Late Model Challenge will be broadcast live on FloRacing on Thursday night, with hot laps set to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET. Race fans can subscribe to FloRacing by clicking here.
