Following a successful and entertaining event this past weekend in St. Louis, the dates have been announced for the 2023 Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals. Next year's event inside The Dome at America's Center will take place December 14-16, which is two weeks later than this year's event.

Unlike in past years when the event was held the week before the PRI Trade Show in Indianapolis, next year's event is scheduled for the weekend after PRI. Additionally, the event will not be held on the same weekend as another major motorsports event, the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. 

Next year's Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals will be the seventh version of the indoor dirt racing event. The inaugural race was held in 2016, and the event was held four straight years before the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the event in 2020. A successful return for the event in 2021 set the stage for a wildly entertaining version of the event featuring many memorable moments in 2022.

Tyler Erb (Late Models) and Ricky Thornton, Jr. (Modifieds) claimed the main event victories on Saturday night. More than 120 Late Models and an invitation-only field of nearly 60 Modifieds competed in the event.
