With championship battles tightening across the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series, racers in the professional, sportsman, and Jr. Dragster ranks will head to historic Bristol Dragway, Aug. 6-8, for the PDRA Thunder Valley Throwdown presented by Larry Jeffers Race Cars. The fifth of seven races on the 2026 tour comes at a pivotal point in the season, with several classes separated by just a handful of rounds and the PDRA Sportsman Spectacular adding increased stakes for the series’ sportsman and Jr. Dragster competitors.

Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series officials and FloRacing announced today that Friday qualifying at the upcoming PDRA Mid-Atlantic Showdown presented by Classic Graphix will stream for free on the FloRacing 24/7 channel. The Mid-Atlantic Showdown, May 21-23, at Virginia Motorsports Park, is the third of seven races on the 2026 PDRA schedule and will include the series’ complete lineup of professional, sportsman, and Jr. Dragster classes. As the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series enters its 13th season, the all-eighth-mile series is once again helmed by Series Director Tyler Crossnoe. After stepping away from his position as the vice president at Virginia Motorsports Park over the winter, Crossnoe is now locked in on the PDRA and its seven-race season.

Held at Darana Motorsports Park in Benson, N.C., April 16-18, the second of seven races on the 2026 PDRA schedule will see the series complete eliminations from its season-opening KTR Drag Racing Carolina Nationals presented by Pee Dee Fleet on Thursday before rolling into Friday qualifying and Saturday eliminations.

The Red Line Oil PDRA World Finals will kick off with the running of the Pro Stars Event on Thursday, October2, 2025. The Pro Stars event is an extra opportunity for those who have competed regularly in the PDRA all season long to face off for a big paycheck. Points were rewarded all season long to contestants for showing up at National Events, rounds won, holeshot wins, dead-on dial in packages, and more. The top 8 in each class qualified for the extra event and will chip draw their opponents until there is one man, or woman, standing.

This weekend, the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series will wrap up its 2025 championship season with an action-packed trio of events all within one weekend, Oct. 2-5, at Virginia Motorsports Park. The Summit Racing Equipment PDRA ProStars all-star race on Thursday will lead into the Pro Line Racing Brian Olson Memorial World Finals presented by ProCharger on Friday through Sunday. On Saturday, VMP’s Night of Fire thrill show will add fire and festivities to the lineup before the series crowns 2025 world champions on Sunday.

With weather issues preventing the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series from completing eliminations at the Thunder Valley Throwdown at Bristol Dragway in late August, the stage is set for a double header at the seventh of eight races on the 2025 PDRA schedule, ProFabrication DragWars presented by PST Driveshafts. GALOT Motorsports Park will play host to the completion of the Bristol race on Thursday before rolling into Drag Wars competition on Friday.

Due to unfortunate weather circumstances, the Red Line PDRA Thunder Valley Throwdown at Bristol Dragway was postponed and will now be completed at a different facility. The remaining rounds of eliminations will be completed as part of the PDRA DragWars on Thursday, September 11 at GALOT Motorsports Park.

Saturday evening thunderstorms at Bristol Dragway forced Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series officials to postpone the completion of the Thunder Valley Throwdown presented by Larry Jeffers Race Cars to the next race on the schedule. The series completed one round of eliminations in the professional classes and multiple rounds in the sportsman and Jr. Dragster categories before the rain hit. The rest of eliminations will take place in three weeks at the ProFab DragWars presented by PST Driveshafts at GALOT Motorsports Park.
