Barre, VT — Fans are about to get a rare first-time opportunity at Thunder Road International Speedbowl this Friday night with the world debut of the New England Supermodified Series (NESS). This will be the first time these insanely fast, winged beasts have ever taken on the ‘Nation’s Site of Excitement.’ The quick-75-lap main event for the NESS Supermodifieds will join the 75-lap Round One for the Myers Container Service Flying Tiger Triple Crown Series, building a night of close contact, high drama point-battles to start their championship bids.

Barre, VT — Following the tremendous success of the inaugural Granite City 100 on Sunday, May 29th, Thunder Road and Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series officials are excited to announce that the Modifieds will return for the 60th Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic weekend on Sunday, May 28th, 2023. Highlighted by rip-roaring speeds as drivers drafted and fought for every position with three of the top Modified drivers in the East left standing in victory lane, the Granite City 100 proved to be one of the biggest racing events in the Northeast this season.

Barre, VT — Memorial Day Weekend brings with it the start of summer, and especially the beginning of full-fledged race season. For race fans from across New England, seeing 138 different racecars pack the pit area of Thunder Road International Speedbowl on Sunday was a welcome sight for the summer season ahead. Along with the four weekly Thunder Road divisions, Tour-type Modifieds made their triumphant return for the first time in 12 years with the inaugural Granite City 100.

It's been over a decade since Tour-type Modifieds have pounded the pavement at Thunder Road Speedbowl. That will change over Memorial Day Weekend when the Tri-Track Open Modified Series brings 600-horsepower machines to the historic Barre, Vermont oval for the first time since 2010.

Barre, VT — With 117 cars on hand for the 63rd Season Opener at Thunder Road International Speedbowl, 17 qualifying races were needed before the four feature races took the green creating some of the best stock car racing in the United States at the ‘Nation’s Site of Excitement.’ When all the dust settled Sunday afternoon, a first time winner stood amongst hardened veterans and the ‘King of Barre’ remained on his throne.

Barre, VT — The familiar No. 48 of the ‘Tampa Tornado,’ Robbie Crouch, is ready to make some more blistering laps at Thunder Road International Speedbowl for the first time in over a decade. Evan Hallstrom will pilot the Crouch-owned machine joining the stiff Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model competition on several outings in 2022.

Barre, VT — Hometown driver Nick Sweet capped a heavenly weekend by winning his record-tying fourth Northfield Savings Bank Vermont Milk Bowl at Barre’s Thunder Road on Sunday, October 17. After setting a track record during Saturday qualifying, Sweet won the first 50-lap segment and fought the rest of the way to his 23rd career Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model victory and 12th ACT-sanctioned Late Model triumph.
