A combination of overnight rain and more inclement weather on Monday led Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) officials to cancel the remaining rounds of eliminations that were left to complete at the Proline Racing Brian Olson Memorial World Finals presented by ProCharger at Virginia Motorsports Park.

The Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) announced today the cancellation of this weekend’s Pro-Fab DragWars, Sept. 29-Oct.1, at GALOT Motorsports Park due to weather impact from Hurricane Ian. With the 2022 PDRA season set to conclude in two weeks at the Proline Racing Brian Olson Memorial World Finals presented by ProCharger, the series will not reschedule DragWars.

The Mountain Motor Pro Stockers are set to resume competition this weekend at the Betway NHRA Carolina Nationals in Charlotte, NC. Just four weeks after Chris Rini scored his long-awaited first victory in Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous, the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) veteran raced his way to the winner’s circle yet again Saturday night at the Summit Racing Equipment Northern Nationals presented by Penske Racing Shocks. Racing at Maple Grove Raceway, Rini squared off against three-time world champion Jim Halsey in the final round, running a 3.73-second pass at 202 MPH to get the win.

The current Marketing Director for the PDRA, Will Smith, cashed in on a life-long dream of licensing in a Top Fuel Dragster this past weekend at US 131 Motorsports Park. The NHRA Mountain Motor Pro Stock season gets back underway with the Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, MN over the August 19-21 weekend. Two weeks after Dane Wood reached his first final round in Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous, the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) racer scored a $15,000 victory at the second annual Summit Racing Equipment PDRA ProStars race Saturday night during Virginia Motorsports Park’s K95 Richmond Night of Fire. The Virginia native recorded a 3.797-second pass at 199.88 MPH in the final round to defeat Ed “The Iron Man” Burnley and his 4.077 at 145.19.

The PDRA returns to the Keystone State with the Summit Racing Equipment PDRA Northern Nationals Presented by Penske Racing Shocks on August 11-13, 2022, at Pennsylvania’s beloved Maple Grove Raceway.

Longtime Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous driver Chris Rini scored his first-ever Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) win Sunday night at the Drag 965 Summer Shootout presented by Classic Graphix at Virginia Motorsports Park. Rini’s .006 reaction time and 3.732-second, 202.97 MPH pass gave him the win over first-time finalist Dane Wood and his 3.963 at 178.00.
