The two-day event at the Illinois oval is headlined by double Super Late Model features paying $3,000-to-win each on Friday and a 60-lap, $12,000-to-win finale set for Saturday. In 2019, Tyler Erb of New Waverly, Texas, out-dueled Bobby Pierce to capture the Thaw Brawl. Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpenterville, Ill. (2012, ’14) is event’s only two-time winner. Other winners include Brian Birkhofer (’13), Pierce (’15), Brian Shirley (’16), Josh Richards (’17) and Chris Simpson (’18). Modifieds and street stocks are also in action.
