Wrestling at the 2024 Olympics is limited to only 16 wrestlers per weight and a country can qualify each weight at any of three events - The 2023 World Championships, The Continental Qualifier, and The World Olympic Games Qualifier. Carter Starocci took to social media on Wednesday night and announced his plan to return to Penn State to wrestle his final year of eligibility in the 2024-25 season. As a four-time NCAA champion, Starocci will look to make history next season by becoming the first ever 5-time NCAA champion - an opportunity afforded him due to the extra year of eligibility granted during the 2020-21 season after the COVID-19 pandemic. Recruiting season is in full swing both on the high school commitment scene and college transfer scene. Wyatt Hendrickson, a 2X All-American for Air Force was granted permission to enter the transfer portal. He has one year of eligibility remaining left. Minnesota picked up a nice transfer in Clayton Whiting. Whiting was a Super 32 finalist and the #32 overall recruit in the class of 2022. While at Missouri he defeated starter Cohlton Hawks, who mad the round of 12 this year, but wasn't given the starting spot.NCAA Champion Andrew Alirez Enters The Transfer Portal

Andrew Alirez, the 141-pound NCAA Champion in 2023, has entered the transfer portal. Alirez has one year of eligibility remaining after spending the last 5 years at Northern Colorado. This past season, Alirez didn't compete in college competition but chose to take an Olympic redshirt and focus on freestyle. Alirez had a successful year on the senior level at 65 kg winning the 2023 Senior Nationals with victories over Beau Bartlett, Alec Pantaleo, and Austin DeSanto. However, Alirez fell just short at the Olympic Trials when he lost in the semi-finals to Nick Lee in a high-scoring, 11-9 match.Every 2024 US Open U20 Finals Matches
