PORT ROYAL, PA – With precipitation forecasted at 90-percent for Thursday, management teams of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco and Port Royal Speedway have announced a schedule adjustment for ‘Speed Showcase 75’ weekend.

Thursday night’s Behrent’s Performance Warehouse Preliminary Night has fallen to the forecast. The pit area will be open to park haulers on Thursday in addition to the camping area.

The speedway will, however, add a Friday morning (Oct. 14) practice session open to all divisions competing during ‘Speed Showcase’ weekend. Pit gates open at 8 a.m. Cars will hit the track starting at 10 a.m. and practice will continue for two hours.

Pit admission for the Friday practice is $25. The grandstands will not be open for the practice.

Following the morning practice, the speedway’s clay surface will be reworked by Steve Stimely and the Port Royal track crew for the evening program.

A three-day pit pass will be available, including the Friday practice, for $110.

Following the Friday morning practice, attention turns to Bob Hilbert Sportswear Qualifying Night featuring the rescheduled $6,000-to-win Labor Day Classic for Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars plus 20-lap Qualifiers for the STSS Modifieds paying $750 to win each courtesy of Dirt Track Digest TV, 15-lap Belmont’s Garage-sponsored STSS Crate 602 Sportsman Qualifiers offering $250 to win each and practice rounds for the Pro Stock division.

All Behrent’s Performance Warehouse bonus dollars – $5,000 in total – will be added to Friday night’s STSS Modified Qualifiers.

For Friday night’s program, gates open at 4 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 6:15 p.m., with racing at 7 p.m.

Friday grandstand admission is $25 for Adults, $10 for Students (ages 13-18) and Kids 12 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $35.

All roads lead to the Juniata County Fairgrounds on Saturday (Oct. 15). On the agenda are STSS Modifieds in a 75-lap, $50,000-to-win Halmar International ‘Elite’ Series/Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply South Region points-paying event plus the ‘Ice Less 50’ for the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman paying $4,000 to win as part of the Belmont’s Garage South Region plus a 30-lap event for the full-fender Pro Stocks.  B-Mains for the Modifieds and Crate 602 Sportsman kick-start the program in addition to Pro Stock heats.

Gates open at 2 p.m. on Saturday with 5 p.m. hot laps and 6 p.m. racing.

Saturday reserved Grandstand admission is $40 (Sections A-G are fully reserved). General admission is $35 (Sections H-O are general admission). Students (ages 13-18) pay $20 and Kids (ages 12 and under) are FREE. Pit admission is $50.

The entire weekend will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv) as part of the annual subscription.
