All Stars Set For One Final Tangle With PA Posse
The Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions are set for one final tangle with the PA Posse this weekend at Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway.
BROWNSBURG, IN -- For the final time in 2022, the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 will tangle with the infamous Pennsylvania Posse, set to invade a pair of Central Pennsylvania staples including Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg and Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown.
Kicking-off what could be a $27,000 weekend for one lucky competitor, the All Star/Posse battle will commence with the $7,000-to-win Dirt Classic Qualifier at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday evening, September 16. The winner of the Dirt Classic Qualifier will have a guaranteed starting position in Saturday’s Dirt Classic finale at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway.
The Grove is certainly no stranger to All Star Circuit of Champions competition, last hosting the traveling Series on Friday, August 26, for the Jack Gunn Memorial twin-20’s awarding $4,000 each. “Double-D” Danny Dietrich, a former Williams Grove Speedway track champion, swept the Jack Gunn twin feature program, beating Brent Marks and Lance Dewease in each of the 20-lappers.
As noted, the All Stars will cap the coming weekend with the $20,000-to-win Dirt Classic IX at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, September 17. One of the highest paying programs on the 2022 All Star campaign trail, the special event will utilize a twin heat race format with passing points setting the bench for the A-Main lineup.
Buch Motorsports’ Justin Peck is the defending Dirt Classic champion, bettering a field of 49 entries for the $20,000 share.
Zeroing in on a second consecutive All Star Circuit of Champions title, “Sunshine” Tyler Courtney will lead the All Star charge into Central Pennsylvania, on top of the current Series driver chase over Justin Peck and Lane Racing’s Cap Henry. Although second in the standings, Justin Peck is the leading winner, scoring eight victories to date with his most recent occurring in Lincoln’s Kramer Klash worth $7,300.
“Hunter Percent” Hunter Schuerenberg is fourth in the All Star title chase, followed by Bill Balog, Zeb Wise, Chris Windom, and Kyle Reinhardt.
