Following two nights of preliminary action, heat race lineups have been set for Saturday's 52nd World 100 at Eldora Speedway.

Saturday's Heat Race Lineups For 52nd World 100 At Eldora Speedway

After two nights of preliminary action on Thursday and Friday, the level of intensity will rise on Saturday during all-important heat races for the 52nd World 100 at Eldora Speedway. On Saturday morning, track officials released the official lineups for the six heat races that will take place.

2022 World 100 at Eldora Speedway

Over the past two nights drivers have accumulated points every time they've been on the race track during hot laps, qualifying, heat races, last chance showdowns and preliminary features. Those points were tallied following Friday's final preliminary feature and used to determine heat race lineups... with one big twist.

Chris Madden, who was the overall points leader after two nights of action, spun the infamous "Wheel of Misfortune" on Friday to determine an invert for heat races. Unfortunately for Madden and others at the top of the standings, the wheel stopped on six and resulted in a six-car invert for Saturday's heat races.

Each heat race on Saturday will be 15 laps and transfer the top-three finishers to the 52nd World 100. The top two drivers in the "Every Lap Matters" point standings who do not transfer in through their heat will receive provisionals starting spots in 19th and 20th.

Cars finishing fourth through 11th in heat races will be sent to a pair of B-Features. Each B-Feature will be 20 laps and transfer the top-two finishers to the main event to set a field of 24 cars for the World 100.
