NASCAR Roots Independence Day Weekend Preview

In 2022, FloRacing has become the home of all things NASCAR Roots racing, from the ARCA Menards Series, to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, to the NASCAR Pinty’s Series in Canada, and a multitude of weekly tracks. Now that the racing season is in full swing, we wanted to make sure that you, the fans, are completely up to speed on what is racing each week under the NASCAR Roots banner on FloRacing.

Friday

Modifieds at Autodrome Granby 

Quebec’s Autodrome Granby is back in action following a thrilling Quebec Cup weekend. This Friday the Modifieds will headline the night with a 40-lap event. The Sportsman Modifieds will race for 30 laps, 25 laps for the Pro Stocks, and 20 laps for the Sport Compacts. Racing is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Saturday

Thunder Road Harley Davidson 200 at South Boston Speedway 

The “Home for Big Events” has its biggest event Saturday night. The legendary South Boston 200 is finally here, pitting Late Model Stock Car racing’s best against each other for 200 laps around the South Boston Speedway. Racing will begin at 7 p.m. ET.

ARCA Menards Series West at Irwindale Speedway 

The ARCA Menards Series West is back in action for the first time since June 11th, and the first time on an oval since April 23rd. This Saturday night the series will race for 150 laps at California’s Irwindale Speedway for the second time this season. Tanner Reif scored his first ARCA West victory that night and is looking to back that performance up with another win. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Late Models and more at Jennerstown Speedway 

Six divisions are in action this Saturday night at Pennsylvania’s Jennerstown Speedway with the Late Model division headlining the night. Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, Chargers and more are on the schedule as well. The first green flag is scheduled to wave at 5:30 p.m. ET.

NASCAR Modifieds at Riverhead Raceway 

Fresh off his first NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victory, Kyle Soper is looking to keep the good times rolling in the 72-lap feature Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway. Legends, Street Stocks, a Figure 8 and a demolition derby are on the schedule for a jam-packed night of racing on Long Island. Racing will begin at 6 p.m. ET.

Super Late Models at Berlin Raceway 

Marne, Michigan’s challenging half-mile is back in action with Super Late Models headlining a four-division night. The winner of this race will receive a starting spot in the upcoming Battle at Berlin 250 in August. Limited Late Models, Sportsman and 4-Cylinders will also be in action. The first green flag is scheduled to wave at 6:15 p.m. ET.

Sprint Cars at Langley Speedway 

The lightning-fast pavement Sprint Cars will headline a five-division night of action at Virginia’s Langley Speedway. They’ll be joined on the schedule by Modifieds, Super Streets, UCars and Karts. The first green flag is scheduled to wave at 7 p.m. ET.

Late Model Stock Car 125 at Florence Motor Speedway 

South Carolina’s Florence Motor Speedway is back in action following a week off and this week the headlining Late Model Stock Car division will run an extra-distance race at 125 laps. They’ll be joined on the schedule by the Legends, Super Trucks, Allison Legacy cars, Chargers, Mini Stocks and much more. Racing will begin at 7 p.m. ET.

Late Models and More at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway 

Wisconsin’s LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway will see Late Models, Sportsmen, Hornets, and more on a fun night of racing at the 5/8-mile oval. Racing will begin at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.

Weekly Racing at Evergreen Speedway 

Monroe, Washington’s Evergreen Speedway is back on the ¼-mile this Saturday night with seven divisions in action, including two heart-pounding Figure 8 divisions! Racing will begin at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Late Models at Alaska Raceway Park 

Palmer, Alaska’s premier racing facility is back in action following a week off, and this week the Late Models will headline the night. They’ll be joined by the Baby Grands, Legends, Thunder Stocks, Bomber Stocks and Bandoleros. Racing will begin at 10 p.m. ET.

Sunday

Late Models and More at Jennerstown Speedway 

Six divisions are in action this Sunday night at Pennsylvania’s Jennerstown Speedway with the Late Model division headlining the night. Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, Chargers and more are on the schedule as well. The first green flag is scheduled to wave at 6 p.m. ET.

Monday

Late Models and Sprint Cars at Meridian Speedway 

Boise, Idaho’s Meridian Speedway is running on a special Monday night this week as the track celebrates America’s independence. Six divisions will be in action, headlined by the lightning-fast Winged Sprint Cars. The Big 5 Late Models will also be on hand, as will Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Hornets and Bombers. Racing is set to begin at 8:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. MT.
