After a break of more than a month, the ARCA Menards Series West season resumes Saturday when the series travels to Portland International Raceway for the Portland 112.

The Portland 112 at the 1.964-mile road course is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. PT / 7:30 p.m. ET and will be available live on FloRacing.

Saturday’s race is the fourth of 11 on the West Series schedule this year and the seventh time the series has visited the Portland road course. Taylor Gray was the victor when the West Series made its return to Portland last season after the series last competed there in 2012.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

Jake Drew leads the ARCA Menards Series West field into Saturday’s Portland 112 at Portland International Raceway as the points leader.

Drew, who is still in search of his first West Series victory, could very well break into Victory Lane this Saturday based on his performance at the Oregon road course last year. He started from the pole and led a race-high 29 laps before ultimately finishing 10th after a late-race incident.

In order to make his way into Victory Lane, Drew will have to outrun several other championship contenders and road course experts.

Chief among them is his Sunrise Ford Racing teammate Tanner Reif, who captured his first West Series victory earlier this year at California’s Irwindale Speedway. Reif sits five points behind Drew in the battle for the West Series championship.

Cole Moore finds himself six points behind Drew in the championship and is also looking for his first West Series victory. He led 10 laps at Portland last season and was a contender throughout the race.

Joining the stars of the West Series at Portland International Raceway is ARCA Menards Series championship contender Daniel Dye, who will pilot the No. 43 Chevrolet for GMS Racing. It will be the first standalone West Series start for Dye, who has competed in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series West combination events at Phoenix Raceway the last two seasons.

Connor Mosack, fresh off a top-five result in ARCA Menards Series competition at Charlotte Motor Speedway last Friday, will join the West Series field at Portland in the No. 17 Chevrolet fielded by Steve McGowan.

Veteran Dale Quarterley returns to West Series competition for the first time since 2019 in the No. 32 Chevrolet. He has one previous start in West Series competition at Portland, which came in 2012. He finished eighth that day.

In addition to competitors from across the United States, three other countries will be represented by competitors in the field. Japan’s Takuma Koga, Canada’s David Smith and Australia’s Bridget Burgess are all expected to be in action.
