Mitchel Moles will make his USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship debut this Friday and Saturday night at the Terre Haute (Indiana) Action Track in the Reinbold-Underwood Motorsports number 19AZ.

The Raisin City, California, native is third in the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship standings and has been a force with the series as a rookie this season.

Moles takes on his new role in the Reinbold-Underwood sprinter following the departure of driver Tanner Thorson earlier this week, who opted to explore other opportunities. Thorson captured five victories for the team in 2021, while C.J. Leary scored twice in their USAC National Sprint Car championship season in 2019.

This weekend marks Moles' first visit to the famed half-mile dirt track at Terre Haute, which begins Friday with the 12th running of the $5,000-to-win Don Smith Classic and closes with Saturday's 52nd annual $10,000-to-win Tony Hulman Classic.

On Friday, the pits open at 3 p.m. Eastern, the front gates at 4 p.m., the drivers' meeting will take place at 6 p.m. and hot laps will get underway at 6:30 p.m. Qualifying and racing will immediately follow.

UMP Modifieds also will be in action, and a concert by country music recording artist Jake Dodds will follow Friday's racing festivities.

On Saturday, the pits open at 1 p.m. Eastern, the front gates will open at 3 p.m., the drivers' meeting will start at 6 p.m. and hot laps will take place at 6:30 p.m. Qualifying and racing will be immediately after. RaceSaver 305 Sprint Cars will also be on the event card.

Each night, general admission grandstand tickets will be $30. Visitors age 10 and under are free. Infield tickets are $20. Children age 10 and under are free. Pit passes are $35.

A rain date (if needed) has been established for Sunday night.

Both nights of racing at Terre Haute can be watched live and on-demand on FloRacing.
