Weekly Preview: NASCAR Roots On FloRacing (May 13-14)

In 2022, FloRacing has become the home of all things NASCAR Roots racing, from the ARCA Menards Series, to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, to the NASCAR Pinty’s Series in Canada, and a multitude of weekly tracks. Now that the racing season is in full swing, we wanted to make sure that you, the fans, are completely up to speed on what is racing each week under the NASCAR Roots banner on FloRacing.

Saturday

NASCAR Pinty’s Series Season Opener at Sunset Speedway

Canada’s only national stock car series kicks off it’s 2022 campaign at the 1/3-mile Sunset Speedway in Innisfil, Ontario. Former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series winner, Raphael Lessard, scored the victory in the 2021 season opener and is looking to go back-to-back at Sunset this weekend. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 7 p.m. ET.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at Riverhead Raceway

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s third round of the 2022 season is Saturday night at Long Island’s ¼-mile bullring of Riverhead Raceway. It is the first of three stops at Riverhead this season, the most appearances of any track on the schedule this year. The green flag is scheduled to wave at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET.

NASCAR Weekly Racing at Riverhead Raceway

In addition to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour being in action at Riverhead, the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series kicks off its 2022 season at Riverhead. Crate Modifieds, Legends, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks are all in action. Racing should begin at 6 p.m. ET.

Late Models at South Boston Speedway

The NASCAR national championship battle is already on every week at Virginia’s South Boston Speedway. Layne Riggs versus defending champion Peyton Sellers is the battle every week. This week they’ll go at it for 100 laps. Plus, the Limited Sportsman, Street Stocks and Hornets will join them on the schedule. Racing is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET.

Modifieds at Bowman Gray Stadium

After getting rained out last week, the Kevin Powell 100 has been rescheduled for this Saturday night at “The Madhouse.” 100 laps of action is scheduled for the ground-pounders, while the Street Stocks will also run an extra-distance race at 50 laps. Racing will begin at 8 p.m. ET.

Season Opener at Alaska Raceway Park

One of the most beautiful backdrops in all of racing can finally be seen live on FloRacing as the Alaska Raceway Park kicks off its 2022 season this Saturday night. Late Models, Baby Grands, Legends, Thunder Stocks and more will all be in action. Racing is scheduled to begin at approximately 10 p.m. ET.

Late Models at All American Speedway

Roseville, California’s bullring is back in action this weekend with Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, and more all on the racing schedule. Racing is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Winged Sprint Cars at Evergreen Speedway

The Monroe, Washington speed-plant will see the winged warriors return to town. Sprint Cars headline the evening with Mini Stocks and more scheduled to be in action. Racing will begin at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Sprint Cars and Modifieds at Meridian Speedway

Boise, Idaho’s Meridian Speedway is the place to be this Saturday night, but if you can’t be there, we’ve got you covered live on FloRacing. Modifieds and Sprint Cars headline the evening at the bullring. They’ll be joined by Street Stocks, Legends, and Stingers. Racing starts at 8:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. MT.

Season Opener at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway

This legendary track in Wisconsin roars to life for the first time in 2022 Saturday afternoon. Late Models, Sportsman, Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks, and Hornets will all be in action. Racing is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT.

Outlaw Late Models at Berlin Raceway

The always entertaining Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Super Late Models roar into Marne, Michigan’s Berlin Raceway, along with the Midwest Modified Tour, and Limited Late Models. Racing is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. ET.

Opening Night at Jennerstown Speedway

Pennsylvania’s Jennerstown Speedway was supposed to open its season last week, but Mother Nature had other plans. Instead, the 2022 season will get underway this week with Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, and Chargers in action. Racing is set to begin at 6 p.m. ET.

Late Models at Langley Speedway

Virginia’s Langley Speedway is in action once again this Saturday. The Late Model Stock Cars will be joined on the schedule by Modifieds, Super Streets, Legends and more. The man they call “Butterbean” Brenden Queen is looking to continue his dominance at Langley and pick up another victory. Racing is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
