Who To Watch Tuesday At The Lucas Oil Chili Bowl
Tuesday's Lucas Oil Chili Bowl preliminary night features one of the strongest fields of the week in Tulsa.
It’s day two in Tulsa, and we’ve got a LOADED night on tap at the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals.
A field of 73 drivers have drawn in for the second preliminary night with these results determining where they’ll line up in Saturday’s famed alphabet soup.
We’ll have nine Heat Races, two D-Mains, two C-Mains, four Qualifiers, two B-Mains, and a 30-lap A-Main on the agenda tonight. Come Feature time, finishers 1-2 lock-in for Saturday’s championship A-Main with finishers 3-8 going to B-Mains, 9-14 off to C-Mains, 15-20 back to D-Mains, and 21-24 to the E-Mains.
Two-time and defending Chili Bowl champion Kyle Larson headlines tonight’s roster aboard the FloRacing No. 01 with Paul Silva on the wrenches of the Eagle Chassis. He’s going for his fifth-straight preliminary win and eighth overall, which would tie him with Sammy Swindell for the most in event history.
Previous preliminary winners including Jonathan Beason, Zach Daum, and Alex Bright are all also included in tonight’s field.
Then you add in the two most recent USAC National Midget champions in Buddy Kofoid and Chris Windom, and the field gets only stronger.
2006 Chili Bowl champion Tim McCreadie and 10-time World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz are both racing as well.
Other notable names include Thomas Meseraull, Jake Neuman, Mike Hess, Sam Hafertepe Jr., Riley Kreisel, Jake Swanson, Hunter Schuerenberg & Kaylee Bryson, among others.
