The 36th running of the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals has arrived. Nearly 400 drivers will call Tulsa, Oklahoma home this week as they chase a coveted Golden Driller trophy. A-Main Recap

Mitchel Moles jumped out to the early lead before Jerry Coons, Jr. took over the top spot on Lap 6 of the 25-lap feature, which was shortened from 30 laps due to curfew. Moles worked his way back by Coons on Lap 14 following a restart and the former Tulsa Shootout winner appeared destined to end up in victory lane. However, with nine laps remaining Carrick made contact with the outside wall and flipped while leading the race. That handed the lead over to Carrick, who had worked his way by Coons Jr. prior to the caution. From there, it was all Carrick as he pulled away over the final nine laps. Tyler Courtney moved into the second position to lock himself into Saturday's A-Main. After the checkered flag, Carrick added to the flip count.

What To Expect Monday Night

Monday will be the longest day of racing inside the Tulsa Expo Center. Drivers will make their first practice laps beginning at 7 a.m. CT before the attention shifts to Monday's preliminary action. The drivers competing Monday night will hot lap prior to qualifying heats, qualifiers, D-Mains, C-Mains, B-Mains and the 30-lap A-Main. 

In addition to the preliminary action on tap, Monday night will also feature the annual VIROC race featuring former race winners and champions from all over the motorsports world.
