Brandon Overton has a target on his back as he prepares for the World 100s at Eldora Speedway on September 8-11. After sweeping the Dirt Late Model Dreams and collecting $273,000 in June, the driver known as “Big Sexy” now has his sights set on winning a pair of coveted globe trophies. 

Following his victories earlier this year at Eldora, Overton earned the praise of NASCAR Cup Series star Kyle Larson. Shortly after winning the NASCAR All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway, Larson made it known that he was thankful Overton was not competing in the race.  

“First off, I’m just glad Brandon Overton wasn’t here to take more of our money,” Larson joked. “He was really good this week at Eldora.”

Now, both drivers will head back to Eldora Speedway looking to win Dirt Late Model racing’s most prestigious race. Not once, but twice.  

While there may be some debate between Dirt Late Model diehards, there is no question that Overton is one of, if not, the hottest drivers in the country this season. In addition to his two Dream wins at Eldora, the Georgia driver has collected 17 additional wins in 2021.  

Overton’s wins include the $50,000 North-South 100 at Florence Speedway, $20,000 King of the Commonwealth at Virginia Motor Speedway, March Madness at Cherokee Speedway, as well as touring series wins with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and World of Outlaws Late Model Series.

The World 100’s will give Overton the opportunity to establish himself as the top Dirt Late Model driver in the country.
