Notes: With the cancellation of the 2020 Dream because of pandemic restrictions, Eldora officials doubled the fun in 2021, with two Dreams slated for the same week. They will be two separate programs with prelims and a $127,000-to-win, 100-lap feature set for Wednesday-Thursday followed by a new show including prelims and a $126,000-to-win feature on Friday-Saturday. … It’s Eldora's most lucrative Late Model week since the Eldora Million in 2001. … Eldora’s posted $792,400 in prize money over the four days of competition includes winnings from Thursday’s and Saturday’s 100-lap finales, two preliminary features apiece Wednesday and Friday, consolations all four days, four five-lap scrambles and the weekend-long rookie of the race program. … This year’s winner’s share includes $126,000 on Saturday and a record $127,000 on Thursday. … Drivers accumulate points each time they are on track for competition, including qualifying, heats, consolation races and preliminary features. … For Wednesday and Friday preliminary nights — each featuring twin $10,000-to-win programs — entrants will be split into Groups A and B at the conclusion of the draw. … Provisionals for the 10th row on both Thursday and Saturday will be based on points rather than qualifying times. … Facing a potential tire shortage, teams will be allowed five tires from time trials through the 25-lap preliminary features on Wednesday and Friday. For Thursday and Saturday’s programs, teams are allowed five tires for heats, consolation and scramble races but can use new tires for the 100-lap features. … For the first time the winning drivers of the post-consolation race scrambles will transfer to the night’s 100-lap main events. … Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tenn., is the only back-to-back Dream winner (2017-’18). … Bloomquist (eight), Billy Moyer (two) and Freddy Smith (two) are the only drivers with multiple victories. … DIRTcar points are awarded to all drivers throughout the weekend. … Event rookies chase an additional $7,000 in bonus money. … Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., won this year’s Johnny Appleseed Classic. No driver has ever won the Appleseed and the Dream in the same season. … Hudson O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., won Eldora’s May 15 Late Model Lidlifter. … The last Ohio native to win the Dream was Waterville’s Matt Miller in 2005.
