The storylines are apparent heading into the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals: Bell vs. Larson. But, let’s not forget about Keith Kunz Motorsports and specifically, Chili Bowl vet Rico Abreu. A two-time main event champ, Abreu will lead a stout lineup of cars out of the KKM stable.

“I always want to win. Every time I’m in that building, it’s just working all week to get your car right for that 55-lap A-Main on Saturday.” Abreu said. “I really work with Keith and the KKM guys throughout the week with minimal track time and try to get your car right for the last ten laps.”

Abreu won his fifth preliminary night feature in 2020, and finished 5th in the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals Main Event. He’s won main event titles in Tulsa both in 2015 and 2016.

“It’s a sensational feeling,” Abreu said of winning back-to-back golden drillers. “I hope to get more of them. We have brought some good cars to Tulsa the past couple years; it just takes being there at the right time on Saturday to strike.”

Abreu is amongst the favorites heading into January to win a golden driller in the 35th Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals. Click here for more content heading into Tulsa.
