When Kyle Larson took his second Silver Crown win in as many starts and 42nd win overall on October 18, 2020 at the Springfield Mile, he officially moved above a .500 winning percentage through 83 races during the calendar year. On FloRacing alone, he's compiled an astonishing 25 wins during 43 starts between Tony Stewart's All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1, the NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series, USAC Silver Crown Series, and Sprint Car events throughout Pennsylvania.

Kyle has won in International Midget competition in New Zealand, captured his first Chili Bowl Nationals, and picked up over $550,000 in earnings through Florida, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Texas, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and North Dakota to name a few.

Can Kyle get to 50 wins on the season? He'll have chances to double up at Keller Auto Speedway during the October 30 Tarlton Classic at Hanford, CA's Keller Auto Speedway, four opportunities at the WoO "Last Call" November 4-7 (where he'll make two additional starts in Kevin Rumley's Super Late Model), and a potential four-pack if he decides to finish his season with the USAC National Midgets on the west coast at Bakersfield and Placerville.

In our latest FloFilm, Kyle says, "It's like comparing Lebron to Michael Jordan, you can't really compare. They're totally different eras, especially when you go back to Doug Wolfgang and Steve Kinser. Yes my numbers could be close, but they won a lot of races... maybe if I get to 50 I can say it's the greatest season ever, but... like I said you can't compare."

Regardless of how it ends, we can safely say we will never see another season like this one until the next Kyle Larson emerges, so until it's over we'll keep the stat book out; the watch for 50 is still alive.
