However, they’ve now taken their talents to the AMSOIL USAC iRacing Challenge presented by NOS Energy Drink. The race begins this Thursday, April 2, at Kokomo Speedway, and can be watched live right here on FloRacing.

Courtney, the 2018 USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car and 2019 USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget champion, has his sim rig set up for action, complete with a folding chair broke-in (or broken) by fellow racer Zeb Wise.

Courtney’s setup includes the absence of a steering wheel, and the use of the computer keyboard in which the space bar controls the throttle and the arrow keys steer the car, plus a Samsung TV from his parent’s house.

Kofoid is one of the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget series’ top Rookie drivers.  He’s been practicing for the event at Kokomo religiously after getting into iRacing recently.  Kofoid, of Penngrove, Calif., describes iRacing as a great tool that's fun, but tricky, along with being a good distraction from everything that’s transpiring in the world at the moment.

McIntosh captured a USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget victory at the 2019 Shamrock Classic at the Southern Illinois Center in Du Quoin.  Thursday’s USAC iRacing Challenge opener presents a new challenge for him as he’s yet to visit Kokomo Speedway in real life on-track as of yet.  His first virtual laps at the quarter-mile arrive this week, and mentions that additional laps prior to the real deal are a necessity.
