Cannon McIntosh Aims To Join Exclusive List At Shamrock Classic
31 drivers have won their first two USAC Midget features at the same track. Cannon McIntosh aims to become the next at the Shamrock Classic.
Like a duck to water, there’ve been several individuals who’ve won their first two career USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget events at the very same track.
Cannon McIntosh hopes to become the next in line to accomplish the feat at the Shamrock Classic at the Southern Illinois Center in Du Quoin, the same site of last year’s breakthrough victory for the Bixby, Okla. native.
The 17-year-old McIntosh came oh-so-close to his second victory during the 2019 season where he finished in the runner-up spot at both Gas City’s Indiana Midget Week round as well as the 79th running of the Turkey Night Grand Prix where he led a race-high 67 laps.
