Brady Bacon Among 6 Locked Into Saturday Oval Nats A-Main

Two consecutive victories for Brady Bacon on Thursday and Friday night at Perris Auto Speedway have netted him the Oval Nationals point lead.

Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.) earned 283 points over the first two nights at Perris, locking him into Saturday night’s feature event along with five other drivers: Tyler Courtney (Indianapolis, Ind.), Justin Grant (Ione, Calif.), Richard Vander Weerd (Visalia, Calif.), C.J. Leary (Greenfield, Ind.) and Chase Stockon (Fort Branch, Ind.).

Nov. 7-9 | 9am ET

Those six will also participate in Saturday’s Super Six dash – a six car, six lap dash to determine the first six starting spots for the 40-lap feature.

Racing continues Saturday night at Perris on November 9 featuring USAC’s AMSOIL National, CRA and Sands Chevrolet Southwest Sprint Car divisions for the event finale.  Cars hit the track at 5:15pm Pacific on Saturday.

After wrapping up the Crate Racin’ USA Series points title with a $10,000 victory in the tour’s season finale at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Ala., Wil Herrington had plenty of highlights to consider when asked what stood out most to him on his path to emerging among the top Crate Late Model drivers in the country in 2020. A season that has featured 14 overall victories has produced many memorable moments for the 24-year-old second-generation racer from Hawkinsville, Ga., but it was his start in Late Model racing more than a decade ago that he remembers most when reflecting on his rise to elite status in the Crate division.

The Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, an annual tradition of Motorsports worlds colliding, has added a new name to its list of Golden Driller hopefuls. Today, NASCAR’s biggest star, most popular driver and the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Chase Elliott announced on his Twitter account that he will make his first venture to the dirt world and race in midget racing’s crown jewel in January.
