Vander Weerd Brothers Enter Oval Nationals

Brothers Richard and Jace Vander Weerd are the latest entries for the 24th annual running of the Budweiser Oval Nationals at California’s Perris Auto Speedway on November 7-9.

The 28-year-old Visalia, California twins have made five appearances at The PAS in 2019. In those five races, Richard did not finish outside of the top three. He recorded two wins, two-second place finishes and a third. Jace only finished out of the top 10 once. He drove his white and blue #88 to two eighth place finishes, and one sixth, seventh, and a 12th place finish each.

All three nights of the prestigious race will be full points-paying races for the USAC AMSOIL National and AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Cars as well as the USAC Sands Chevrolet Southwest Sprint Cars. To date, 36 cars have entered with drivers from seven different states.
