Leary on the Brink of ISW Title

C.J. Leary extended his lead from 15 to 24 in the NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week point standings following Friday’s fourth place finish in round seven of the series at Bloomington Speedway.

Consistency has been the key for the Greenfield, Ind. driver who has finished inside the top-six in all seven ISW races run during this year’s 32nd edition of the series.  Leary leads Brady Bacon by 24 with one race remaining, while Bloomington winner Kevin Thomas, Jr. is third (-42), Justin Grant fourth (-48) and Chris Windom fifth (-79).

With a maximum of 84 points possible, only the top-five drivers remain mathematically eligible to win the ISW title after Bloomington.  Once drivers officially sign in the finale on Saturday night, July 27, at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., that number drops to four eligible to capture the championship.
