The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour begin their march through the Mountain State in a first ever true West Virginia triple header for the tour.

The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour is just one day away from marching through the Mountain State in a first ever true West Virginia triple header for the tour.

The tour will visit a pair of in state speedways for the first time this July 4th weekend while visiting ‘home base’ Tyler County once more. Over $30,000 is up for grabs including $8,000 in race winnings for the UMP Dirt Car based Renegades of Dirt. Saxton, PA’s Michael Altobelli leads the current point standings. It all kicks off tomorrow at the Beckley Raceway Park.

On Thursday July 4th drivers will ‘fire the engines’ with a trek to Mount Hope, WV for a first time battle at Beckley Motorsports Park. The event features the ‘most wanted modifieds in motorsports’ dueling at the 3/8 mile oval for $4,000 to win and $250 to start. Gates open at 4:30pm with Racing at 7pm. General admission is priced at just $15 and pits only $35. The 3rd Annual “Rock & Roll” 40 for UMP RoDT Modifieds will feature the stars of the series including the current top five in points behind Altobelli. On Friday night July 5th the tour returns to the friendly confines of Middlebourne, WV as ‘The Bullring’ awaits eager racers for the 15th Annual “Dickson Classic”. The third and final visit of the season by the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour at Americas Baddest Bullring as part of the 25th Annual Topless 50 program featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

On Saturday July 6th the Renegades of Dirt conclude the three day weekend in Kerens, WV at the Elkins Raceway. For the first time ever the tour invades ‘Thunder in the Mountains’ as part of a big night of racing action featuring the $5,200 to win “Red Frederick Memorial” for Super Late Models. The Renegades will shootout for a $2,000 to win, $150 to start prize pool. A stellar field of regional modified stars is expected for the $2K top prize such as tour regulars Mark & Travis Dickson, Kenny Johnson, Carl McKinney, Chad Roush, Daniel Hill, Mitch Thomas, Justin Hart along with many more Elkins track standouts like Dave Defibaugh, Phil Jefferies, Mike Murphy among others.
