All four of USAC’s Speed2 Midget divisions are in action this Saturday, June 29, with DMA at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt., Eastern at Dominion Raceway in Spotsylvania, Va., IMRA at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Ill. and the Midwest Thunder Midgets at Montpelier Motor Speedway in Montpelier, Ind.

Will Hull (Plainfield, Vt.) has won two-straight in DMA competition, winning last week’s trip to Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, N.Y.  He’s also won two of the past three at Bear Ridge where the series returns this Saturday.  Hull leads the standings by 23 over May Bear Ridge winner Seth Carlson (Brimfield, Mass.) and Joe Krawiec (Granby, Conn.) (-48).

Double features are on the horizon this Saturday at Dominion for the Eastern Midget series.  The series was rained out on their first try at the 4/10-mile paved oval on May 11.  Colfax, North Carolina’s Chris Lamb was victorious in the most recent Eastern Midget points race at Dominion in 2017.  Nolan Allison (Greensboro, N.C.) captured the win in the most recent series race in early June at Shenandoah Speedway in Virginia.  Allison leads the standings over Alex Murray (Concord, N.C.) (-3) and Jessica Bean (Farmland, Ind.) (-21).

Andy Baugh (Mason City, Ill.) will once again put his winning streak on the line this Saturday when IMRA visits Spoon River.  The defending series champ is three-for-three at the track this year and is on pace again this season, leading the standings, but only by seven over Macon winner Tyler Roth (Springfield, Ill.).  Mark McMahill (Peoria, Ill.) runs third, 60 out of the lead.

Like Baugh, there’s another streak that’s ongoing at Montpelier where the Midwest Thunder Midgets hope “Take 5” is the lucky charm this Saturday after Mother Nature claimed the first four attempts at the quarter-mile dirt oval.  Aaron Leffel (Springfield, Ohio) has won twice, once at Gas City and once at Bloomington, while Chett Gehrke (Broken Arrow, Okla.) took the last round at Gas City.  Leffel holds a grip on the lead in the standings by 49 points over Stratton Briggs (Anna, Ohio) and Gunnar Lucius (Delphos, Ohio) (-63).
