Maxed-Out Entry List Revealed for Holjes

Round six of the FIA World Rallycross Championship at Holjes in Sweden will feature a maxed-out entry, with a number of wildcards joining the permanent teams and drivers.

The official entry list revealed by the FIA shows that reigning FIA European Rallycross Champion Reinis Nitiss will make his second start of the year for GRX, after racing in round one at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Finland’s Jere Kalliokoski will make his first appearance of the season as a points-scoring driver for Team STARD, alongside Hell RX podium finisher Janis Baumanis in a Ford Fiesta, and Netherlands’ Kevin Abbring will make his second start for the ESmotorsport Labas-GAS  team, following a stunning debut at Hell RX last weekend in the Skoda Fabia. Rokas Baciuska will make a second start in a Renault Megane RS for GCK Academy.

Former World RX Teams’ Champions Olsbergs MSE will return with three drivers. 2016 World RX of Germany winner Kevin Eriksson will race a developed version of the Ford Fiesta he drove for the team in World RX last season, with Sebastien Eriksson in the sister car. Denmark’s Ulrik Linnemann will drive the team’s Honda Civic Coupe in its World RX debut. Sweden’s Philip Gehrman will race his team’s Volkswagen Polo in his home round of World RX and Norway’s Kjetil Larsen will switch from his role in the spotter’s tower to the driving seat, to race a similar car for Hedstroms Motorsport.

French Rallycross stars Fabien and Jonathan Pailler will also make the trip to the legendary Holjes circuit to race their Peugeot 208s for the Pailler Competition team.

27 Supercars will also compete in the third round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship for Supercar, and it’s a maxed-out entry in the third round of Euro RX Super1600, with Russia’s Aydar Nuriev currently top of the standings.
