With the work completed and both Hansen brothers racing in round two of World RX, the Cooper Tires World RX of Catalunya, Timmy and Kevin Hansen qualified one-two in the Intermediate Classification, both won their semi-finals and finished one-two in the final.

April 28

Timmy Hansen is again quickest in Q3 and Q4 to take TQ in the Intermediate Classification, then wins semi-final one and the final to secure the third ever clean sweep in World RX history.

“We went through so much just to get to the start in Barcelona. In Abu Dhabi it was going so well, then it was the worst outcome possible, the car was damaged and again the guys had to work super hard to repair the car,” said Timmy Hansen. “They did it, we managed to get to Barcelona and I just wanted a clean good weekend to give it back to them. Then we won Q1, Q2, Q3, but after Abu Dhabi you know it can turn so quickly, so you haver to be absolutely on your toes every time. Every session has to be perfect, lining up for the final, I knew how well it had gone but I still had to do everything one more time. Kevin was so fast in his semi, so I knew I had to get the start right and I did, I saw Kevin behind me and I was back in my zone. Crossing the finish line first there was so much weight coming off my shoulders.”
