James Bond movie stuntman and reigning Motorsport UK British Rallycross Champion Mark Higgins will join FIA World Rallycross Championship regulars for the fourth round of the 2019 season, the Dayinsure World RX of Great Britain at the Speedmachine Festival in the UK (May 25 – 26).

Held at the Silverstone circuit, Higgins made his World RX debut with Albatec Racing last season and will also drive the team’s Peugeot 208 for his second home appearance. Also joining the regular World RX drivers for his second start of the year with Team STARD will be Finland’s Jani Paasonen.

The event will also hold the first round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship for Supercar. The permanent entry list was revealed by the FIA earlier this year, with 2014 Champion Robin Larsson from Sweden headlining the field. Several round-by-round entrants, including Euro RX racer winner Thomas Bryntesson in TBRX’s Volkswagen Polo, RX2 International Series star Sondre Evjen in Kristoffersson Motorsport’s Volkswagen Polo and former Euro RX TouringCar Champion Derek Tohill will join the field. Sweden’s Pontus Tidemand, a star of both rallycross and top-level rallying will race Eklund Motorsport’s Volkswagen Beetle, France’s Rodolphe Audran will drive a Peugeot 208 and Sweden’s Lukas Walfridson will compete in Helmia Motorsport’s Renault Clio.

The FIA has also confirmed the entry list for round two of the FIA European Rallycross Championship for Super1600 at Spa-Francorchamps next week (May 11 – 12). France’s Maximilien Eveno and Norway’s Espen Isaksaetre will join the permanent drivers, with three reserves on the entry list.
