The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour returns to the road this Friday and Saturday night for the ‘Ohio Valley area’ debut of the most wanted modifieds in Motorsports.

The tour doubles up the ante for a pair of big events in both the Buckeye and Mountain States. Race fans can anticipate the biggest names in Eastern modified racing to be in attendance with the current points showing Nick Hoffman leading Christian Thomas, Kyle Strickler, Mike Altobelli, and Taylor Cook rounding out the top five.

The tour which got its start at the Hilltop Speedway in 2012 will be returning to the Millersburg, OH oval for the first time since 2013, this Friday, April 5th. After three prior appearances “The Boys Are Back” with a lucrative $2,000 winners prize and the title as the 4th Annual “King of the Hill” on the line. Saturday night the Renegades go to familiar stomping grounds for one of the most prestigious modified events in the East. The 8th Annual “Let It Ride 55” returns Saturday April 6th at the Tyler County Speedway. One of racings coolest trophy’s the giant ‘Slot Machine’ and $3,555 await the best of the best as they battle on Americas Baddest Bullring.

Excitement with the series has been witnessed at both venues with the Elson inaugural tour win and the famous Morehouse and Hoffman duel the last time the Renegades visited Hilltop Speedway. Memories abound at ‘The Bullring’ with moments like Stricklers ‘spin to win’, Mathews Mega charge and Deana Groves upset bid in the Renegade sanctioned Dickson Classic.

The can’t miss weekend will feature UMP Dirt Car rules and national points being awarded at both venues. However, on Friday night only at the Hilltop Speedway competitors will be allowed to compete with an open left front tire and a medium or harder right front tire. Agreements were made between UMP DirtCar and Hilltop Speedway in the offseason to allow for a burn off period until June on racers existing tire inventory which encompasses the tour event this weekend. As a goodwill gesture to local racers and Hilltop Speedway the Renegades of Dirt will also honor this for local area teams with the RF tire being a mandatory medium or harder.

Hilltop Speedway will open the gates at 4pm for the pit area and 5pm for general admission. Hot laps are slated for 6:30pm. General admission is $15, Pits are $30 and 12&Under are admitted free. Entry fee for the event is $40 dollars, start money is $200. Tyler County Speedway has bumped start times this spring for cooler weather. Gates open at 3pm for pits and 4pm for the general admission. Hot laps are scheduled for 6pm. General admission is $15, Pits are $35 and kids under 12 are admitted free. Entry for the event is $50, start money is $350.
