By The Numbers: Super DIRTcar Series Points Lead Up For Grabs At Brewerton
Here’s a breakdown of the season stats for the Super DIRTcar Series following Monday's opener at Weedsport Speedway in New York.

After two races were canceled due to rain, the Super DIRTcar Series was finally able to kick off its 2018 season this past Monday at Weedsport Speedway with the Heroes Remembered 100.
Forty-one Big Block Modifieds attempted to qualify in front of a packed house at the prestigious Port.
Stewart Friesen had the upper hand on the field the entire night, first winning his heat race, then drawing the pole, and finally going flag to flag to take the 100-lap victory. Friesen currently leads the points; however, he will not be in attendance at the next series race due to a schedule conflict with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, leaving the points chase up for grabs.

The next race in the Super DIRTcar Series is scheduled to take place at Brewerton Speedway on Friday, June 15.
“Lightning” Larry Wight, who finished seventh at Weedsport, is the current points leader at Brewerton’s “D-shaped Dirt Demon.” He will be a strong threat once again when the series comes to town.
Heinke-Baldwin Racing teammates Max McLaughlin and Jimmy Phelps, who rounded out the podium on Memorial Day in second and third place, respectively, run weekly at Brewerton Speedway alongside fellow contenders Chris Hile, Pat Ward, and Willy Decker, who all ran Monday evening’s series race as well.
