Justin Grant will join TOPP Motorsports in 2018 and hopes that the combination will be that little something extra needed to earn a championship next year. In 2017, he came up just six points short of winning the USAC National Sprint Car title to Chris Windom.

With the recent announcement that Tyler Courtney will join Clauson Marshall Newman Racing (CMNR), the seat at TOPP Motorsports opened up. Grant was more than happy to climb into the cockpit.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to drive for TOPP Motorsports,” Grant said. “I’m really looking forward to wearing the TOPP name and working with such a talented team. I missed out on the Championship title by one place this past season and I’m confident that together with TOPP, we can get to that top spot.”

Grant’s battle for the championship included four victories in the National Sprint series, but he proved his ability across all of USAC by winning in each discipline: Sprints, Midgets, and Silver Crown cars. Grant achieved that goal with perseverance and workmanship as the only driver to compete in all of USAC’s National Tour races in those divisions.

“We love that Justin is so versatile,” stated Kevin Birchmeier, owner and President of TOPP Motorsports. “Having a driver that has the experience and track record of winning that Justin does opens a lot of doors for us. I can’t tell you enough how thrilled we are to have him as part of our TOPP family.”
