Harli White has joined forces with Johnny Herrera Racing to compete in the 2018 Chili Bowl Nationals. With this announcement, Herrera has officially filled all three of his Midget entries for the crown jewel event. The Chili Bowl takes place at River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, OK, on Jan. 8-13.

White had her career-best Chili Bowl performance in 2016, when she finished 10th in her preliminary night A-main and started in the final night’s B before getting caught up in a big lap-one crash. She was credited with 19th in that race.

“Whenever I got the call about possibly racing, I was excited," she said. "Johnny's cars are super nice and the best of the best. It's a great opportunity. I've finished in the B-main a couple of times so I can't wait to see how I can do this year. Johnny has been around racing forever, and he knows what's going on. I'm not only getting a great car; I'm getting a good team behind me."

CatSpot, an organic cat litter delivery service company, will be joining White as the primary sponsor on her Midget.

White will be in a 2016 Spike Midget with a new Esslinger engine that was raced in the 2017 Chili Bowl with Ryan Bernal at the helm. Bernal finished second in his heat on night three last year before suffering a DNF in the B-main.

White will join Bricen James and Scottie McDonald to complete Herrera’s Chili Bowl trio. James narrowly missed the transfer cut during his debut last year when he finished eighth in the C-main.
