NOS Energy Drink is returning to the world of dirt.

The company announced Tuesday it is serving as a multi-year primary sponsor for both the Stenhouse Jr.-Wood Racing No. 17 sprint team in the World of Outlaws series and the Clauson-Marshall Racing No. 39 Midget team that runs primarily in USAC competition.

The deal is effective immediately, and Jac Haudenschild and Justin Grant will both debut their new wraps this weekend. Haudenschild will race in his new colors at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS, and Grant will race at Wayne County Speedway in Illinois.

NOS formerly held stronger ties with dirt track racing, sponsoring the Dirt Track World Finals at Charlotte in the early 2010s.

The energy drink company has been involved with Stenhouse Jr.-Wood Racing co-owner Ricky Stenhouse Jr. since 2012, when it served as a sponsor for his Xfinity car. Stenhouse also served as a spokesperson for the company.

“Grassroots dirt racing has been a passion of mine since I was a kid,” Stenhouse said. “I’m proud to partner a brand like NOS Energy Drink with my dirt family, as we’ve all succeeded with each other throughout the years. It’s going to be exciting to see NOS colors on the track this weekend.”

NOS Energy used to also sponsor the late Bryan Clauson including during his championship-winning 2011 USAC Midget season.

Bryan’s father and co-owner of Clauson-Marshall Tim Clauson spoke of the reunion with the brand.

“NOS was on the car when Bryan won the USAC Midget Nationals championship in 2011,” Clauson said. “Obviously that moment was special for us, and we’re looking forward to making more memories with them.”
