Shane Stewart capitalized off of Brad Sweet's early misfortune at Skagit Speedway in Alger, WA, on Friday night to claim his second win in the past eight days.

After starting on the pole and leading the first eight laps, Sweet got tangled with the slower car of Austen Wheatley and collected second-place Daryl Pittman in his spin. Pittman was racing Sweet hard for the lead in the laps leading up to the incident.

Action began again on lap nine with Stewart in the lead, and the driver of the No. 2 was dominant for the remaining 21 laps. He also reached Victory Lane last Friday at Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, South Dakota.

These two wins are separated from his last burst of double wins by two months. Stewart collected back-to-back victories at West Liberty (Iowa) Raceway on June 23 and Beaver Dam (Wisconsin) Raceway back June 24.

Stewart was joined on the podium by Jason Johnson and Jac Haudenschild. The trio started in positions fourth through sixth, respectively, after finishing at the head of the pack in a six-car inversion Craftsman Dash. The only driver who started ahead of them not involved in Sweet's early mistake was Kraig Kinser, and he was pushed back by Johnson's and Haudenschild's forward momentum after the first restart.

Haudenschild had a strong restart from fourth on the first restart to claim second, and that is where he ran the majority of the race. He had several chances to get by Stewart on restarts, falling just short each time.

Haudenschild lost the second spot when one of his pass attempts opened the track up for Johnson to steal the position with seven laps remaining.

The field was bunched back up one more time with five to go, giving Johnson a chance to threaten Stewart. At the end of the day, Stewart remained dominant and Johnson settled for second at a track where he's never finished worse than fourth.

The Outlaws will return to Skagit Speedway on Saturday, September 2.
