A-Main: Schatz made a great run, but Larson wins opening night of the 5-Hour Energy Knoxville 410 Nationals, Night 1
Halfway through, Schatz has moved to 2nd and has Larson in his crosshairs.
Parker Price-Miler stops on the backstretch on lap 3.
Larson and McCarl swap the lead on lap 1
200 points goes to the winner with two-point decrementation below that.
Kyle Larson gets the benefit of the inversion and will lead the field to green. Austin McCarl shares the front row.

B-Main: Lucas Wolfe wins the B to move into the A-Main of night 1. He will be joined by Dusty Zomer, Chase Johnson, and Tim Shaffer. Sheldon Haudenschild just missed the A
On lap 3, Sheldon Haudenschild moves into the transfer spot - for a few laps. Johnson gets back around with Shaffer now in the mix.
The top 4 transfer - 24 will start.

C-Main: Scratch that: Reutzel scratches from the C-Main so everyone advances to the B and the C is canceled.
Aaron Reutzel will lead them to green with Tayler Malsam sharing the front row. .

Heats: Top 4 advance to the A-Main
Heat 5: Bill Balog over Kyle Larson, Greg Hodnett, and Christopher Bell - the battle of the NASCAR guys.
Heat 4: Who else? Donny Schatz wins over Dustin Selvege, Danny "The Dude: Lasoski, and Carson Macedo - all advancing to the A
Heat 3: Matt Moro wins. Parker Price-Miller, Jake Bubak, and Paul McMahan also advance
Heat 2: Jac Haudenschild wins with Brad Sweet, Harli White, and Matt Juhl also advancing.
Harli White will lead them to the flag; Logan Schuchart scratched with a failed engine.
Heat 1: is in the books with Kevin Thomas Jr. the winner over Kerry Madsen, Austin McCarl, Aaron Reutzel and Sheldon Haudenschild.
Reutzel gets DQ'd for losing his muffler, which moves Shane Stewart to the transfer spot.

Time trials are underway: 200 points goes to the fastest in time trials with 198 to second, 196 to third and so on with two-point decrements till the end.
Kerry Madsen also set quick time in 2003.
Kerry Madsen is fastest in time trials with Brad Sweet, Lucas Wolfe, Donny Schatz and AJ Moeller rounding out the top 5.
Next five are Shane Stewart, Dusty Zomer, Paul McMahan, Lynton Jeffrey, and Greg Hodnett.
Spencer Bayston comes across the scales too light and is disqualified. He will get minimal points for the time trial effort.

Hot lap session 5: Paul McMahan keeps the pattern of the track speeding up and runs 15.200.
Hot lap session 4: Kyle Larson (shocker) is fastest so far at 15.134
Hot lap session 3: Kevin Thomas Jr. goes even faster with a lap of 15.314 - the speeds are picking up
Hot lap session 2: Brad Sweet fastest with a lap of 15.713 (fastest overall)
Hot lap session 1: Spencer Bayston clocks in fastest with a lap of 16.000
