The Mississippi State Championship Challenge Super Late Model Series (MSCCS) is set to race alongside the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series in the Rumble on the Gumbo at Greenville Speedway this weekend.

The Rumble on the Gumbo will be made up of two complete cards of racing. On Friday, April 7, the MSCCS and NeSmith series are each hosting $2,000-to-win A-Mains, with a pair of $2,500-to-win A-Mains following on Saturday night.

The entire show can be streamed LIVE on FloRacing. Archived footage will be available for viewers, which is a great way for fans who attend the event to catch the replays.

The MSCCS is in its 17th season of competition and features some of Mississippi's best late model talent, all vying to see who gets bragging rights for the state.

The Rumble on the Gumbo's two-night show is the second and third races of the season. Barring rainouts, the schedule is slated for 24 events, culminating in another big show at Greenville on October 5-7 with a $10,000-to-win purse.

Who to Watch

Bub McCool
McCool was the runaway winner of 2015's MSCCS championship. Eight wins in the series, including one at Greenville on May 8, contributed to a 275-point lead over Chad Thrash at the end of that year. In 2016, he ran nine races in the MSCCS and finished in the top 10 every time.

Billy Moyer Jr.
Moyer won the season-opener at Jackson Motor Speedway in Mississippi and turned his attention to the World of Outlaws and Lucas Oil Late Model series. In eight starts with WoO this year, he has two top fives and four top 10s. His best finish in three starts with Lucas Oil was a 13th at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida, on February 13.

Brian and Rick Rickman
Dubbed the Goat Farm Posse, the Rickman brothers finished first and second in MSSCS points last year without a single victory. They earned those honors with consistent finishes. Brian recorded 13 top 10s in 15 starts. Rick had nine top 10s in 14 starts.
