The Rumble on the Gumbo is set to mark two beginnings when it kicks off on Friday, April 7, at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi.

Not only is the Rumble serving as the national tour opener of the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series, but it will also be the first live-streaming dirt track race on FloRacing.

The two-night show at the quarter-mile gumbo track will be highlighted by a 40-lap, $2,000-to-win A-Main on Friday and a 50-lap, $2,500-to-win A-Main on Saturday night.

Who To Watch

Cory Hedgecock
The defending 2016 champion, Hedgecock returns in 2017 with his eye on claiming another title. Last year, he got off to a strong start by winning the two-night season opener at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee. Hedgecock already has five wins for the season in other series, including a 40-lapper at I-75. Hedgecock grabbed night one of last year's Rumble.

Scott Dedwylder
Dedwylder ran second in the points to Hedgecock. He won the Salute to the Air Force 40 at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, and claimed nine top fives in 17 starts.

Marcus Minga
Last year, Minga ran the full NeSmith series before finishing fifth in the standings. His best result was a trio of seventh-place finishes, including one at Greenville. This year, he has a Rocket XR1 chassis that he hopes improves his performance.

Ronnie Johnson
Johnson has 27 NeSmith wins in 121 starts with the most recent coming at the Talladega Short Track in Alabama. He failed to win in this series last year but finished second four times. He swept the top 10 in last year's Rumble.

Rookie Of The Year Contenders

Ahhna Pankhurst
Pankhurst is a developmental driver for Richard Childress' affiliated dirt car team, Shane McDowell Racing. At 16 years of age, Pankhurst already has four seasons of competition under her belt. Last year, she scored her first NeSmith top 10 in her second start at Penton Raceway in Lafayette, AL.

Colton Horner
Only 14 years old, Horton ran the NeSmith Winter Shootout to test the waters. In five starts, he failed to crack the top 10 but came close with an 11th-place finish at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City.

Trey Wood
Earned top 10s in the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model and Southern Thunder Late Model Series.

Grant Garrison
Had an impressive sixth-place finish at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, with NeSmith last year.
