Just weeks before he was scheduled to race in the first round of Monster Energy Supercross on Jan. 7, Ryan Surratt has parted ways with the Bud Racing team he joined in October.

The team announced Surratt's departure in a press release on Dec. 2, which said, "the team and Ryan have preferred to part ways to take different direction for both parties."

Surratt, the son of the now-retired pro racer Willie Surratt, was slated to make his pro debut racing EMX 250 with the team at Anaheim One. Bud Racing/Monster Energy Kawasaki onboarded the Michigan-based Marshal Weltin as his replacement.
