Since joining the operation in early September, Brady Bacon’s stint with Vermeer Motorsports has proved successful, elevating not only the team’s late season statistics, but also potential. And with Vermeer already committing to the 2027 High Limit Racing schedule, what better way to hit the road than with the driver who is already acclimated, as well as committed.

“After a lengthy meeting, we’ve decided to name Brady Bacon as our driver for 2027. It’s pretty clear that he has the same mentality, the same passion, the same focus, and the same drive as Tye [Wolfgang] and myself…a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude, and that’s what it takes to be successful. A philosophy I not only utilize in racing, but in the business world, as well,” Tony Vermeer, Vermeer Motorsports Team Owner, said of the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, native. “Our goal is to not only build our race team bigger and better, but also contend for wins and championships, and with Brady, I know the potential for all of those will be greater. The competition is tough, but I’m a firm believer in hard work and a fierce attitude, and applying those will only elevate you to the next level.”

“His experience and accomplishments speak for themselves. He brings a wealth of knowledge and I’m excited to work with him in building a successful race team,” Tye Wolfgang, Vermeer Motorsports crew chief, added. “His focus and his drive is pretty remarkable…always willing to do whatever it takes to take things to the next level. The 2027 season is going to be something special for Vermeer Motorsports.”

An experienced wheelman, nonetheless, Brady Bacon’s resume’ speaks for itself, accomplishing feats with not only the wing on, but also the wing off. The four-time USAC National Sprint Cars champion has proved his extreme versatility as early as 2026, scoring a winged victory at Volusia Speedway Park followed by four with the wing off. Always a national-level threat, Bacon’s 2026 High Limit stats include eight top-tens in 13 feature attempts, also solidifying six World of Outlaws top-tens in ten A-Main appearances. With that being said, the 2027 High Limit Racing season will be Bacon’s first-ever national-touring attempt with a 410 under the hood.

“I’m really excited and super grateful for this opportunity,” Brady Bacon was quick to note. “Tony [Vermeer] has surrounded himself with some really good people and I’ve enjoyed working alongside everyone. It’s all about building consistency and we’ve shown we can do that. Our goal is to build on that, win races, and ultimately, contend for a championship.”

Building on past experiences, Bacon will rejoin Vermeer crew chief Tye Wolfgang in his upcoming campaign. The duo’s chemistry has been instant, highlighting recent starts with back-to-back top-tens in Eldora Speedway’s 4-Crown Nationals.

“Tye [Wolfgang] and I have communicated well from the start. I’m looking forward to our results as our chemistry continues to grow,” Bacon added. “I want to thank CD Racing and TKH Motorsports for their continued support, and for allowing me the opportunity to pursue a full-time seat with Vermeer Motorsports. I’ve had a lot of great people help me get to this point in my career. When you surround yourself with great people, great things can happen.”

ON DECK:

Brady Bacon and Vermeer Motorsports will continue their 2026 campaign with the World of Outlaws Short Track Nationals at Texarkana 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas, on Friday and Saturday, October 23-24.
