A tight point battle for the FloRacing Night in America championship thunders into Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) this Thursday night.

Round No. 8 of the miniseries boasts a $20,000-to-win / $1,000-to-start Super Late Model feature event with a total Super Late Model purse in excess of $68,000. But an even bigger payday hangs in the balance as competitors are down to the final three events of the season in pursuit of the $75,000 check that comes with a perfect attendance title.

FloRacing Night in America Point Standings

Heading into Thursday’s event Brandon Sheppard holds a 21-marker advantage over Hudson O’Neal for the top spot in the standings with Devin Moran just 39 points removed from the lead in third.

Riding recent momentum, Bobby Pierce is on the move in the standings and is up to fourth, just 78 points of the lead. Meanwhile, Nick Hoffman, Tyler Erb, Ricky Thornton Jr., Kyle Bronson, Dennis Erb Jr., and Dan Ebert round out the Top 10 in the latest series standings.

More shakeups likely sit on the horizon in the series standings with only a driver’s best eight finishes counting toward the series title. Beginning with the final two rounds at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway on November 13-14 drivers will be eligible to drop their lowest two scores of their 10 finishes this season.

FloRacing Night in America at Volunteer Speedway Schedule

Street Stocks and Crown Vics will join the FloRacing Night in America Super Late Models on the schedule for Thursday. 

The pit gate opens at 2 p.m. EDT with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. The driver’s meeting is at 6 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing action to follow.

FloRacing Night in America at Volunteer Speedway Tickets

Grandstand admission (ages 13-and-up) is $30 with grandstand admission for kids (ages 6-12) $10. Pit passes (ages 13-and-up) are $45 with kid’s pit passes (ages 6-12) $10. Tier parking is $50 per vehicle, and please note each person in the vehicle must purchase a pit pass.
