The biggest winners the last weekend in September benefitted in DirtonDirt’s power rankings with Nick Hoffman of Mooresville, N.C., strengthening his hold on the No. 1 spot while Brian Shirley of Chatham, Ill., and Cody Overton of Thomson, Ga., rejoined the Top 25.

Hoffman’s sweep of World of Outlaws Late Model Series action at I-55 Federated Raceway Park in Pevely, Mo., a familiar track near his native Belleville, Ill., kept him atop the Keyser Manufacturing-sponsored rankings for the second consecutive poll. The World 100 winner received seven of 10 first-place votes to widen his edge on No. 2-ranked Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill., who had a pair of top-fives at I-55 along with a midweek FloRacing Night in America victory at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind.

Pierce, the WoO points leader, received two first-place votes with the final first-place tally going to Hudson O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., the winner of Friday’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned C.J. Rayburn Memorial at his home track Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway. Lucas Oil Series points leader Brandon Sheppard of New Berlin, Ill., and Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., maintained at No. 4 and No. 5 with no changes near the top of the poll.

Shirley, who scored his first career Lucas Oil series victory with a $56,000 Jackson 100 triumph at Brownstown, made his poll return at No. 17 while Overton, enjoying a stretch of four straight victories, returned at No. 20. Overton won twice in Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series action at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway and once on the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series at Modoc (S.C.) Speedway.

Josh Rice of Crittenden, Ky., and Jason Feger of Bloomington, Ill., made the biggest gains in the rankings. Rice, the Jackson 100 runner-up, was up four slots at No. 9 while Feger, who finished second to Hoffman in the I-55 finale during a solid weekend, rose three notches to No. 15.

Dustin Sorensen of Rochester, Minn., and Zack Mitchell of Enoree, S.C., fell out of the rankings in the first balloting since Sept. 15. Last week’s power rankings were skipped because fewer than half the ranked drivers competed during the Sept. 17-20 weekend.

Voting is done by a 10-member committee made up of staffers and contributors to determine the Top 25 power rankings: Richard Allen, Bryan Ault, Jeff Broeg, Kelley Carlton, Ryan Delph, Josh James, Kevin Kovac, Kyle McFadden, Mike Ruefer and Kyle Symons. Results are compiled and tabulated by Todd Turner, who serves as a voting alternate along with fellow staffer Aaron Clay.

Rankings appear Tuesdays through mid-November provided at least half of the drivers in the current rankings are in action in the previous week.

7. Devin Moran, Dresden, Ohio

8. Tyler Erb, New Waverly, Texas
