Bobby Pierce took the lead when early pacesetter Devin Moran cut down a tire 10 laps into Wednesday’s 50-lap feature, then held off Ricky Thornton Jr. for a $20,000 FloRacing Night in America victory in the series’ debut at Lincoln Park Speedway.
Thornton ran second for the final 40 laps and finished 0.661 seconds behind Pierce. Series points leader Brandon Sheppard finished third, followed by Clay Harris and Hudson O’Neal. Moran recovered to finish eighth.
Nick Hoffman slowed running fourth on lap 37. Drake Troutman slowed from sixth on lap 26 and could not continue.
