Ricky Thornton Jr.’s run of success at Port Royal Speedway rolled on Friday as the Chandler, Ariz., driver led 38 of 40 laps to capture the Rumble by the River opener worth $10,000.
Thornton, who took the lead on lap three from pole-starting Chris Madden, finished 1.392 seconds ahead of Devin Moran for his fourth consecutive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory at the half-mile oval dating to last season. For Friday's complete results, see below.
